Date TBD @ 9am- San Diego Planning Commission Meeting
The AT&T cell tower project will be heard next by the San Diego Planning Commission. Their next scheduled meeting is September 17, 2026, but we do not know yet if the AT&T cell tower project will be on the agenda for that meeting. The commission meets every third Thursday of the month at 9am, and sometimes they meet twice per month. The calendar for the San Diego Planning Commission can be found here.
Past Events
April 8, 2026 @ 6pm – Clairemont Planning Committee Meeting
The project was heard by the Clairemont Planning Committee, and they recommended that the project not be approved. However, their considerations are a recommended, but not required, part of the project review process. Other committees subsequently reviewing the project don’t have to adhere to the recommendation.
April 21, 2026 @ 6pm- Clairemont Planning Group Meeting
The project was heard by the Clairemont Planning Group. They also voted against allowing AT&T to put up the cell tower, but it is again a recommendation and not a final decision. Final decisions for this project will be made by the San Diego Planning Commission and the San Diego City Council. May 31, 2026 @ 2pm- Protest at Gershwin Park
Thank you to everyone who joined concerned neighbors in protest of the cell tower! We had a great turnout, complete with family, friends, signs, and media coverage.
